First lessons have taken place
We had the first practice in Ahtiala, Nastola and Renkomaki on Monday the 15th while today we had the first practices in Karpanen, Hollola and both Heinola places.

Class on the Ice in Vierumäki - 2nd lesson The class meet again on the ice. The session was held in the morning between 8.30 and 10.00 and after warm-up exercises the students played in a half-court hockey game. |

Students hoodies and hats have been ordered
The sponsor Oland (www.olandsport.com) has received the Grassroot order and the production has started.
Cool hoodies and winter hats for the coaches have been designed by Stefano and Garoa; a buff for the kids is also in the order. Have a look at them in the image below!

Class on the Ice in Vierumäki Today students part of the Coaching Group taught to other students how to improve their skating tecqniques. The session was held in the morning between 9.00 and 10.30 and for the last 30 minutes a hockey game took place. |

On the new page info about the Grassroot 2018 Small-scale Lottery are published and one PDF document with the rules can be downloaded. The Lottery ticket distribution will begin as soon as the tickets are ready and draw prizes are collected.

Project Roster
Involved in the project there are 20 Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences DP16 students, 7 Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences LOT16 students and 2 Erasmus students.
We are divided in 7 Groups involved in different areas, with the following main tasks:
- Management (control everything, set deadlines, delegates, the big brain)
- Marketing (promote the event, prepare flyers and posters, search sponsors)
- Budget (manage the budget plan and know all incomes and expenses)
- Coaching (plan and run training sessions with assistants)
- Equipment (provide equipment and first aid kits)
- Organizing (in charge of communications and personal schedules)
- Tournament (plan everything for the final tournament, from venue to Pelicans players)
The 29 organizers are now ready to work hard. Download Grassroot 2018 roster below in PDF document.
